Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to provide a secure and safe environment for all staff & visitors on site. This will be achieved through applying thorough access control procedures, carrying out site inductions, planned & ad-hoc site patrols together with other duties as determined by the Assignment Instructions. In the event of an emergency follow prescribed escalation/communication procedures with Site Management, Corps colleagues and the emergency services.

You will be working an average of 60 hours per week covering days and nights. Shift pattern will be: Mon-Fri; 1 week of days, 1 week of nights. Shift times will be: 0630-1830 or 1830-0630.

What you will need:

• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
• A valid SIA Front-Line License - essential
• A valid UK Driving License - desirable
• A valid First-Aid qualification - essential 
• Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels
• Ability to work to deadlines, multitasking and working under pressure
• Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g. Excel)
• Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards and SC clearance standards

What are you going to do:

• Validation and verification of Safe and Secure Security networks
• Front of House and Loading Bay duties
• Ensuring a duty of care to all on site staff 
• Security oversight on the delivery of contract work 
• Observations and near miss reporting including reporting of any incidents 
• Escorting and supervision when prohibited items are brought on or taken off the floor
• Safe and Secure checks (taking over from Security Audit) and receipting
• Reporting any breaches of security 
• Control of the site cameras and booking system incuding conducting CCTV investigations when required or instructed 
• Maintain all security related documentationfor audit purposes 
• To respond to emergencies and assist with the evacuation and searching of the buildings by following requires of the site Emergency response procedures
• Collaboration with other departments to ensure the highest security levels are in production 
• Assisting with Safe and Secure training and cover where necessary 
• Perform ad hoc duties as directed
