WHAT OUR EMPLOYEES SAY

I’ve worked with Corps for almost two years now. I started as a duty security manager, and I’m now managing a site by myself. I wanted a change to kick start my progression and enable me to develop, and that’s what I found at Corps, which is fantastic. I now manage a team of 30 officers, overlook all the security operations in the premises, write and review rules, edit regulations and more. I’m also very involved with the police and counter-terrorism officers – we have a great relationship with the emergency services, which is very rewarding. I love the fact that I can see people are learning from me and listening to me and my guidance, and I can see my ideas come to life.

I have worked within the company for five years in a variety of different roles. In my current role, every day is different, and I like that I am able to do different things. At Corps, lots of time and money is spent on training, and I have found the organisation to be really encouraging and helpful. If there’s ever something new that I want to try, the support and training is there. I hope to remain with the company for a long time, trying different roles and progressing. I feel confident I’ll be supported in my development here at Corps in any direction I wish to take.

I have been part of the Corps Security team for 12 years. As Security Manager, I lead a large security team of 25 staff across various buildings at a multi-purpose site including a museum, leisure centre and performing arts school. Together, we ensure the daily safety and security of all staff and visitors. What I enjoy most about my role is the opportunity to meet such a range of new people on a daily basis – the job is never the same. In the next few years I look forward to progressing and hitting a senior position within the company.

When I was at school I completed a CORPS course as part of work experience where I worked with the emergency services, security officers and the army. It was then that I knew I wanted to provide services to the public. At Corps Security, my day-to-day role involves a host of different things, including account management, the safe guarding of buildings, CCTV monitoring, patrolling, crowd management, health and safety to customer service. I enjoy that no day is the same; there is always something which helps keep me on my toes and I’m still developing and learning every day after six years here. I hope to progress further into a more managerial role at some point in the future.
